We are Not Trees

We are Not Trees

We are Not Trees

A quote in a picture on a Google+ community said:
"If you don't like where you are, then change it. You are not a tree."
Well, to be honest I love trees and the way trees are looked at in that word made me write this response:

It is great to have the freedom to travel, but it is sometimes a bad idea when it is simply escaping reality as well as responsibility. Yes, we aren't trees and have a wonderful world to explore and enjoy its beauty. Yet, what does all that matter when we can't learn from this world, from the nature itself. We aren't trees, but there is a lot to learn from trees.
Some stand still for years, and maybe aren't comfortable in their forever place, but they are always reaching for the energetic sunlight and are growing more roots to hold still to the ground. They then enjoy the wind, enjoy having company from all things that come for the shade, and maybe even reach out to spread their anthers for more trees.
There are those kind of people whom are usually the ones that always keep the family together. They struggle to stay for those they loved regardless the pain. They could have left years and years ago, but they were indeed the ones who aspire us; protect us; give us the shade we need in life; teaching us what it means to be.
They didn't change their place by moving, but changed it by making the place change. It's not always possible, but strong hearts are the only ones capable of doing it when it is.
My mom is probably not going to read this post, but dearest mom thank you for being that person in my life.
